Appointment Information

When you book your appointment, our staff will send you a confirmation letter.

For new patients, we ask that you arrive for your appointment ten minutes early to enable our reception staff to record your details in our system and complete some paperwork.


You will need:

  • Your referral from your General Practitioner or other Doctor, please be aware this may have been sent through electronically
  • Information about imaging or results pertaining to your condition eg where you had the imaging done and the date it was taken
  • Your Medicare Card or DVA Gold Card
  • Your private health fund card
  • Your approval, if your condition is covered by a DVA White Card (Dr Nixon only)
  • Your approval from your insurer, details of your insurance company and claim number, if your condition is covered by Workers Compensation Insurance
  • To wear suitable clothing to allow for examination of the area of concern

We make every attempt to see you at your allocated appointment time, however please be aware that on occasion the surgeons may be running late. This may be due to an emergency or simply that some patients require extra time during their consultation. We thank you in advance for your patience.


Payment

Payment for your consultation is required at the time of consultation. This payment can be by cash, eftpos or credit card, with the exception of Amex. Please note that a portion of this amount may be claimable from Medicare. Our reception staff will be able to forward your claim to Medicare electronically for you.


Cancellations

If you are unable to attend your appointment or need to reschedule, please contact the office as soon as possible. Notifying us will allow our staff to make alternative arrangements for you and to offer the appointment to another patient on the waitlist.
